Project name

155 Bishopsgate

Completed in September 2010, this project consisted of two roof terraces with an atrium sitting centrally between them.

The concept and final design were influenced by considering the clients requirements which include access, types of use and which respected the views out over London.

The terraces have differing planting themes with the Northern terrace based on Asian plant species and the Southern terrace based on European plant species. Visually the gardens relate to each other through use of common materials and layout. Wind mitigation and sun patterns investigation also informed the planting palette. Planting consists of a variety of shrubs in-between larger semi-mature and mature statement tree planting, with the plant material ranging from 2 years old to 70 years.
